As the hype for “Prime day” and its offers rose, Amazon’s stock went the same way with a 1.8% rise.

What’s the “deal”?

Amazon’s Prime service offers its subscribers a range of features, including Prime Video and Amazon Music. Book rentals, Twitch Prime, photo storage, and much more

Amazon’s constant effort makes Prime even more appealing to consumers. In a Tuesday announcement, the company offered Prime members a free one-year membership to Grubhub+. Thousands of restaurants across the US offer unlimited free delivery through the service, which costs $9.99 per month.

As part of the deal, Amazon also received warrants to buy 2% of Grubhub. Investors were thrilled to hear this; it could increase to 15% if the partnership helps Grubhub grow its customer base.

The company also announced a wide range of shopping deals for Prime Day on Wednesday. Amazon’s shopping spree kicks off on July 12 and features savings on a wide range of Amazon’s and third-party products and devices.

Is this deal also on Prime?

It is possible that Amazon will gain a more substantial presence in the rapidly expanding food-delivery space due to its partnership with Grubhub. As a result, Amazon could gain more Prime members, which are the company’s most profitable customers.

Amazon’s massive fulfillment network could benefit from a successful Prime Day event. In order to boost sales even further, Amazon plans to hold a second Prime Day event later this year.
